You can use co-op funds to conduct marketing activities that increase brand awareness and drive growth of your sales pipeline. Invest your co-op funds in activities to facilitate readiness, develop specializations, or attain Microsoft certifications\u2014activities that foster focused solution practices and Centers of Excellence.<\/p>\n<h3>FY24 changes<\/h3>\n<p>Some of the biggest changes impacting the Americas (United States, Canada, and LATAM) in FY24 include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>US allowances<\/strong> for each activity may vary from the global policy. US partners should check their individual agreements for details.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Solution area guidance<\/strong> has been updated to align with FY24 priorities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Additional proof of execution (PoE) requirements<\/strong> have been added for telemarketing activities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>TV\/radio advertisements<\/strong> have been added as an eligible\u00a0co-op\u00a0activity for\u00a0Surface\u00a0partners.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Surface\u00a0Co-op\u00a0plans<\/strong> can now be approved by a Product Portfolio Go-to-Market Manager, Partner Development Manager, or Partner Channel Marketing Manager.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mixed Reality\u00a0(HoloLens) incentives<\/strong>, including\u00a0co-op, are being discontinued.\u00a0Co-op\u00a0earned in H2 FY23 will be converted to rebate and paid to the partner in Q1 FY24.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Country classifications<\/strong> for applying PoE thresholds for claims will adjust based on guidance from CELA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Co-op fun facts<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Partners enrolled in\u00a0Microsoft Commerce Incentive\u00a0(MCI) earn a 60 percent rebate \/ 40 percent\u00a0Co-op\u00a0split for Cloud Solution Provider (CSP).<\/li>\n<li>Co-op\u00a0is earned in six-month periods.<\/li>\n<li>Co-op can be utilized for three main activity categories: Demand Generation, Market Development, and Partner Readiness.<\/li>\n<li>Partners have 45 days after the period ends to submit a claim.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Co-op eligible activities<\/h3>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"108\"><\/td>\n<td width=\"222\"><strong>Definition<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"293\"><strong>Qualifying activities<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"108\"><strong>Demand<br \/>\nGeneration<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"222\">Traditional advertising with broad reach that furthers the marketing and promotion of Microsoft offerings.
