for example,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0checking\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">craft<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">-and-<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">polish<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0prior to shipping<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0or\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">reviewing an already-shipped product<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335551550\":1,\"335551620\":1,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Why do an experience review?<\/span><\/i><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Bringing<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0the different disciplines and their\u00a0expertise\u00a0together results in a very thorough examination of the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">experience<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">t\u2019s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0important to\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">set rules of engagement in advance to\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">make<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0sure<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the meeting<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">is\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">inclusive\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">provide<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">opportunities<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0for all voices to be heard<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, even if\u00a0they\u2019re\u00a0not in agreement<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We are also focused on\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">building<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0consensus around the key issues and their severity<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, ensuring that products will\u00a0provide\u00a0the best experience for our customers<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">What\u00a0<\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">are some <\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">process<\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0b<\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">est practi<\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ces<\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">?<\/span><\/i><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335551550\":1,\"335551620\":1,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">While each team approaches<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ER<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s differently,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">below\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">are some basic steps that m<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">any<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0of our<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0teams follow<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">:<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335551550\":1,\"335551620\":1,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Pre-Review<\/span><\/b><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">:<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Prior to the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ER<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, we hold a s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">coping meeting\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">that<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0determines<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0focus of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">review<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This meeting includes program management<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">r<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">esearch,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and design<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0to discuss the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">review\u2019s scenarios and timing<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. A list of scenarios<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0and<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0tasks<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">must<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0be brought to that meeting<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0as well as a list of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">assumptions, including<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0who\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the customer<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0is<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, what the customer already know<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">what they already use.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Readiness Review:<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Here<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the team<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0determine<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0whether the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ER<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0can take place.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Some walking through tasks will occur so the team can make some fixes before the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ER<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">All disciplines should agree that they are ready to conduct the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ER<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0before it happens.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">When the experience has already\u00a0shipped,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">it\u2019s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0a little bit different. The team will discuss<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0what\u00a0shipped\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and what was the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0plan of record.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">They will reach<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0agreement on readiness, scenarios,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">assumptions<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ER<\/span><\/b><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">:<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Attendees are the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">same people\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">who attended the pre-review<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">plus supportability,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">content writing, engineering, marketing, and\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">people who\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">aren\u2019t<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0familiar with the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">experiences<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, including customers<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0if desired<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Having diverse attendees\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">with different types\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">o<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">f expertise\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">allows us to become aware of a range of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">concerns<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. The team<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0will identify design problems that degrade the experience. Each task or subtask will be individually rated by the attendees<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, noting whether the issue is of a blocking or non-blocking nature<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"134233279\":true,\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">NOTE: Two roles should be identified ahead of time:\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"134233279\":true,\"201341983\":0,\"335559685\":720,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\"> 1) <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The notetaker should either be\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0researcher on the experience or a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0researcher familiar with\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ER<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s. Sometimes,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">it\u2019s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0necessary to have two notetakers.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Recording is also\u00a0an option.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"134233279\":true,\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\"> 2) <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The moderator keeps the process moving and\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">encourages<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0attendees to take solution conversations\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">offline.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0They are also responsible for ensuring that the conversation stays unbiased and the quality bar\u00a0remains\u00a0high.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"134233279\":true,\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">4. Ship <\/span><\/b><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Room:<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Completion<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0of an ER\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">is considered\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">to be<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">part of shipping requirements<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">If mu<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ltiple\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">tasks\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">are\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">marked as\u00a0yellow\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0or<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0any<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0tasks\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">are\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">marked<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0red in the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ER<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0the product or experience\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">will<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0not be allowed to ship until those issues are resolved.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"134233279\":true,\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Some things to consider:\u00a0<\/span><\/i><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335551550\":1,\"335551620\":1,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"16\" data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Ratings:\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">As<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">sign an overall color rating\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">per task based on the proportion of individual ratings in the room. Every voice in the room counts and everyone is accountable for their rating<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"134233279\":true,\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li data-leveltext=\"o\" data-font=\"Courier New\" data-listid=\"15\" data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><strong>Proud\u00a0\/ not proud:<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Everyone<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0rates on the same scale, keeping in mind the following: Is it a good user experience? Is it usable? Is it a quality experience?
