Unisys Corporation sets TPC-H benchmark with SQL Server 2008

Unisys Corporation and their latest enterprise server, the ES7000 Model 7600R, set a new record for price/performance in the Transaction Processing Council’s (TPC) TPC-H benchmark test running on Windows Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008.

In the TPC-H Benchmark, the ES7000 Model 7600R reached an outstanding performance of 80,172.7 QphH@10,000GB and price/performance of $18.95 per QphH@10,000GB. By using a Microsoft SQL Server database, the ES7000 Model 7600R is now a leader in multiple categories in the TPC-H benchmark test by accomplishing the above results, including best performance at 10,000GB by a server using Microsoft SQL Server.
