SQL Server 2008 Launch Sessions

As we get closer to launch – we have started locking down the sessions that we will have at launch. There are going to be 3 technical tracks at launch along with 1 track for IT Manager. For the 3 technical tracks, we will have 1 for Data Platform, 1 for Infrastructure and1 for developers. Within the data platform track – we will have 4 sessions focused on SQL Server and accompanying technologies.

1. Run Mission Critical Applications on SQL Server 2008

Covers all the core capabilities of the database engine, including scale, performance, HA and security

2. SQL Server 2008 BI platform

Covers the breadth of our BI platform including Integration Services, Analysis Services and Reporting Services

3. Manage SQL Server 2008

Covers all our manageability improvements in the platform and tools

4. Build and deploy data applications

Covers the breadth of developer improvements from our beyond relational investments of spatial and Filestream, sync services, T-SQL improvements and finally our entity framework and ADO.NET Data Services.

These 4 sessions will also be replicated throughout the globe in over 250 events. For the main global event at LA – we are planning on having a great set of speakers – more info to follow 🙂
