Her Light, Author Your Future – Your future is yours to shape.

“Her Light” does not belong only to someone special.

It is the light that has been quietly growing within each person—through everyday learning, questions, experiences, moments of uncertainty, missteps, and choices made along the way.

In this workshop, participants are invited to gently recognize the light that already exists within themselves, while also encountering the many different lights shared by peers and role models around them. By illuminating and learning from one another, the workshop encourages participants to see that there is more than one possible path—and that the future is something each person can shape for herself.

Ada Workshop, launched by Microsoft Research Asia in 2016, is a long‑standing initiative dedicated to supporting and empowering women in computing, AI, and related fields. Through conversations with researchers, educators, and students at different stages of their journeys, the Tokyo edition offers a space to reflect, connect, and imagine diverse possibilities ahead—together.

This workshop will focus on the following points:

• Career Support for Students: Encouraging careers in information technology, computer science, and AI fields, as well as supporting careers in graduate and doctoral programs.
• Introduction to Latest Research and Technology: Providing opportunities to learn about various interesting research and technologies in the field, while understanding the importance and significance of research activities.
• Introduction to Diverse Career Paths: Learning about various career paths and understanding that there are many options available.
• Learning from Experiences: Gaining insights from the thoughts and experiences of various individuals to benefit career development.

Her Light – それは、特別な誰かだけが持つ光ではありません。
日々の学びや問い、うまくいかなかった経験や迷いも含めて、これまで歩いてきた時間そのものが、少しずつ、でもいつの間にか、ひとりひとりの中に育ってきたもの──それが Her Light です。

このワークショップでは、自分の中にすでにある光にそっと目を向けながら、まわりの身近な人たちやロールモデルたちのさまざまな光にも触れ、照らし合う中で、選択肢はひとつではないこと、そして 未来は自分で描いていける ことを、一緒に考えていきます。

Ada Workshopは、情報系・AI分野を中心に、次世代を担う女性たちにインスピレーションと学びの機会を提供するため、2016年にMicrosoft Research Asiaによって始まったワークショップシリーズです。東京開催となる本イベントでは、研究者、教員、博士課程の学生など、さまざまな立場の登壇者との対話を通じて、学びや進路、キャリアをめぐる多様な考え方に触れ、自分らしい未来を描くきっかけを共有します。
